Grow Interest and Participation Promote interest in all forms of sailing and boating and ensure that appropriate opportunities exist for growing participation as interest increases, particularly amongst the young and older-aged people 2. Build Sport Capability Further the delivery of sailing and boating through Yacht Clubs, providing programs and resources to support the role of the club and its members, staff and volunteers and build the capacity of States and Yachting Australia to enhance the services available 3. Improve Governance and Management 4. Build national alignment on a plan to increase participation and club membership – Seek constructive contribution of all stakeholders 2. Deliver on the ASC and Member expectations to increase participation and membership – Harness the passion of YA Staff, States, Clubs, Members and the Industry 3. Uphold YA Reputation as a “high performance” sport – Shatter the polarisation of the sport around HP and the “rest” and recognise the continuum of the sailing pathway and diverse motivations of participants
