between mid-September 2013 and
January 15th 2014 EXCEPT FOR:
OXBRIDGE and MEDICINE,
DENTISTRY, VET SCIENCE
WHICH MUST BE IN BY
OCTOBER 15TH!!
Applicants have up to 5 choices
The cost is £23 for 2-5 choices.
£12 for 1.
Eventually they choose a firm and
insurance offer – conditional!
They must be realistic and choose a
range of universities
In school we are:
• preparing subject references
• discussing predicted grades
• advising
• reading personal statements
The buzzword is dragon
• Applications are 'secret'
• Personal statements should
be mostly academic if for
Oxbridge AND can only cover
one course – unless applying
for Joint Honours
Further options:
Ucas Extra operates from mid
–February to end of June 2014
for those who have had no
offers or have declined them.
Adjustment
If applicants have met and exceeded
the conditions of their firmly accepted
offer they have up to 5 days to
research places which correspond
better to their performance.
They will not lose their original place
during this time.
Not going to uni?
Early December – workshops on:
• The world of work
• Apprenticeships
• Writing CVs etc
• February+ - opportunities for
individual ‘careers’ help
