– Completely fill in Organization Name and HID
code
If HID code is unknown, survey coordinator must
locate it on the HealthCareHRSource.com website.
Reference: Steps to access HID code in previous
slides.

Cash Data Tab Continued:
– Allied for Health Job Code
Link to Job Codes and Descriptions at the top of
the page
– Make sure actual salary falls in between
minimum and maximum of range.
– Report hourly rates, full time/part time
incumbents but NOT per diem rates

Cash Data Tab Continued:
– Match each incumbent to only ONE survey
position, even if responsibilities overlap.
– General Matching Criteria = 75% overlap
between the survey position and your
organization’s position
– Not every incumbent in your organization will
match a survey position.
Please do not try to “shoehorn” incumbents into
positions in an attempt to match everyone in the
organization.

Shift Differential & Per Diem Tab:
– Don’t forget to report your differentials, per
diem rates, and uncontrolled standby rates for
each position on this tab!
– Systems and Multi-Facilities need to report
data for all facilities (if different) or notify us
that the differentials are the same throughout
the organization.

Shift Differential & Per Diem Tab:
– Report data for a position and not for each incumbent
i.e. do not enter two amounts in one cell $6.00/6.30
– Leave cells blank that do not apply and do not enter words
i.e. Do not enter N/A, $75 per week, or 10% of Hourly Rate
– Enter dollar amounts and percentages under the appropriate
columns.
– Per Diem and Uncontrolled Standby Rates
Provide us with the actual HOURLY $ amount for each position
Do not report things like $.10 or same as position pay rate
– Differentials
Notice we ask for evening, night, and weekend differentials
Please report these three differentials accurately

General:
– Make sure the DSK you are submitting is a 2011 NonManagement DSK.
– Be sure to save and name the DSK you are
submitting with descriptors including your facility
name, type of survey and year.
Ex:
Antelope_Valley_Hospital.NonManagement_Compensation_2011.D
SK.xls
– Be careful of submitting duplicate data.
– HRIS download option is encouraged!
Systems can give an HRIS download instead of separate
cash data tabs for every facility but need to make sure HID
codes are correct!

General Continued:
– Only enter Zeros if an answer is actually zero. Leave
cells blank that are not applicable.
– Make sure your information is up to date on the
HealthCareHRSource.com website.

Zarca - Overview
Zarca is an online survey tool we will be
utilizing this year to collect all non-cash
data for all compensation surveys (i.e.
additional compensation, STI design,
perquisites, etc.)
Our goal is to make this survey more user
friendly for you as the participant and also
to collect better data.
We think Zarca will help us reach these
goals.

Zarca – General
Your survey coordinator has been sent an email
from Lu-Shonda Johnson-Wilson with a link to
participate in the online survey.
– Please check your spam filters if you have not yet received the
email.
Once you click the link you may begin the
survey.
– However, we recommend using the print survey
option at the top right hand side of the screen to print
a PDF and gather the information first.

Zarca – General
For your convenience, we have implemented a
“save and continue later” button located at the
bottom right of the screen.
Also, note there is a “security timeout” feature
that will automatically log you out after 1 hour of
inactivity.
Mandatory questions are noted by a red
asterisk.
At the end of the online survey, you have the
option to be automatically routed to the Health
Care HR Source website to download your DSK.
