Chapter Overview
This chapter takes a close look at the automotive industry today and the changes that are occurring in the industry. It is important to service vehicles today largely because of the technology used in those vehicles. Only a properly trained technician can perform the necessary service in the automotive industry. A detailed description is given of what it takes to be a professional technician and definitions of career opportunities, job classifications, and ASE certifications are included.
