Early pharaohs set up

government.





Reunification because
it followed chaos and
disunity.
Many great
achievements in
literature, art, and
architecture.






1600 – 1100 B.C.E.
Egypt’s Golden Age.
Peace and Stability
Egypt was very
powerful.





Reigned during the
Old Kingdom
Ruled from 2551 –
2528 B.C.E.
Builder of the Great
Pyramid at Giza. Took
20 years to build and
over 2 million stone
blocks.
Organized a central
government.





Reigned during the
Middle Kingdom.
Ruled from 1971 – 1926
B.C.E.
Ruled a stable and
unified Egypt.
Encouraged art and
Literature
Built White Chapel
made of alabaster, gold,
and covered in artwork.






Reigned during the
New Kingdom.
Ruled from 1473 – 1458
B.C.E.
First Female Ruler.
Traded with the
kindom of Punt.
Posed as a male, wore
beard, wore men’s
clothes.
Built Dayr al-Bahri







Also reigned during New
Kingdom.
He ruled from 1290 to 1224 B.C.E.
Called Ramses the Great.
He reigned for more than 60
years.
Best known for military
leadership and building
monuments.
Signed the world’s first peace
treaty.
Built temple at Abu Simbel.
