• New Rules Published December 22, 2011
• The Most Significant Provisions Effective July 1, 2013
• They Are:
– Mandatory Rest Break Every 8 Hours
– Limitations on the 34 Hour Restart Provision
• Can Be Used Only Once a Week
• Must Include Two Nighttime Periods
• Changes Will Impact Productivity, Capacity, Scheduling,
Flexibility and Cost
