Oil & Gas
Oil & Gas supply chain
specifics & challenges
 Time-sensitive delivery to remote regions with inadequate transportation
infrastructure (poor coverage by road & rail network, infrequent air service,
short runways, harsh climate and weather conditions limiting operations
 Expensive & sophisticated equipment, often requiring return transportation
for maintenance and repair, customized handling by trained personnel,
unconventional loading & unloading operations, additional space inside
aircraft, etc.
 Unique tools& equipment existing in limited numbers (less than 10 ww)
 High costs of demurrage
 Transportation of oil & gas traffic, unlike general cargo for consumer
markets, is not aligned with conventional traffic routes and flows
