Agricultural Use Requirements
WPS does NOT cover pesticides applied in several
situations.
Examples include:
Right-of-ways
Pastures, rangelands or livestock
Mosquito abatement
Research uses of unregistered pesticides
Section also states the amount of time that must pass
before workers are allowed to re-enter treated areas.
Also know as Restricted Entry Interval or REI
• Use this product only in accordance with its labeling
and with the Worker Protection Standard, 40 CFR
Part 170. This standard contains requirements for
he protection of agricultural workers on farms…
• Do not enter or allow worker entry intro treated areas
during restricted entry interval ( REI ) of 12 hours
after application.
• PPE required for early entry to treated area is
coveralls, Waterproof gloves and shoes plus socks.
