OMS classrooms have a Smart-Board in every classroom!
OMS embraces technology, each team has a web site, school
has a web site updated daily, OMS is on twitter and sends daily
“tweets.” Parents can access grades 24/7 on “Parent Portal.”
OMS is one of the top performing schools in southeastern MA on
MCAS (5th-68%, 6th-77&, 8th-83%)
Class size is low, compared to area middle schools, average
class size is 20 students.
Teachers are experts in their subjects and must go through a
rigorous certification and re-certification process required by
Commonwealth of MA.
New “Pathway” courses replaced most “study halls” last year,
providing students with enriching opportunities (History of
Stoughton, Managing Money, etc.)
Field Trips offered to Boston, New York City (7th grade), Quebec
(7th grade) and Washington D.C (8th grade), among other
locations!
Extra-Curricular opportunities are plentiful!
