Creating sustainable livelihoods since 1996
HIGHLIGHTS
• Established in 1996 as a non-profit partner of Dr. Reddy’s
Laboratories Ltd.
• DRF spans its work across two areas – Livelihood and Education.
• The Education wing provides opportunities of learning to those
who have never been to school or are drop outs.
• The Livelihood wing provides a wide array of vocational training
programs to poverty stricken youth, agriculture and nonagriculture interventions for the farmers and youth in deep rural
areas.
CORE INITIATIVES
 Livelihood Advancement Business School (LABS)
 Operational in 91 centers across 20 states in India, LABS offers
soft skills and technical training in domains like Hospitality, IT,
CISCO, BPO, Sales, Automobile, Electricals etc to youth aged
between 18 – 35.
 LABS - PwD (People with Disabilities)
 An offshoot of LABS, this program caters to youth with
disabilities in the age group of 18-30, with a focus on the
hearing impaired and orthopedically challenged. LABS – PwD
is currently operational in 15 centers across 10 states.
 Both LABS & LABS - PwD, work on a self sustainable
approach to reduce dependency on external grants.
CORE INITIATIVES
 Rural Livelihoods
 Provides small and marginal farmers with knowledge and
access to ecologically sustainable and cost-effective
technologies to improve agricultural productivity and net
income.
 It also enhances the economic well-being of marginalized
communities by skilling youth and placing them in jobs,
thereby reducing disguised unemployment.
