Instructions for using this collection
of PowerPoint presentations
Follow these steps to begin using
Advances in Refractive Surgery
presentations:
1. Insert Advances in Refractive Surgery CD into the CD drive on your computer.
2. Open Advances in Refractive Surgery CD and copy presentation(s) to your
computer’s hard drive.
- Note: Step 2 must be done if you wish to edit and customize your presentation.
3. To begin the presentation, double-click the PowerPoint file you copied to your
hard drive.
4. After opening file in PowerPoint, follow this menu path to play the slide show
presentation:
- View > Slide Show
5. Manually click through each slide; the content will automatically appear.
6. When finished with presentation, click the up arrow icon located in the bottom lefthand side of the screen (
) and select “End Show.”

Optional functions
• To return to the previous slide, do one of the following:
- Press the “P” key until you return to the desired slide.
- Click the up arrow icon (
) and select “Previous” from the pop-up menu.
- Note: Each time you select “Previous”, you will undo the previous action.
• To change the transition speed of bullets (slow, medium, fast), transition type of
bullets (e.g., dissolve, fade, etc.) or transition characteristics of slides (manual or
automatic), follow this menu path:
- Slide Show > Slide Transition… and use the controls on the right side of the screen.
- Note: You can apply changes to individual slides, or, to apply to all slides, click
the “Apply to All Slides” button located in the bottom right corner of the “Slide
Transition” screen.
• Remove “Insert name/Practice name/Logo here if desired” content on any Advances
in Refractive Surgery PowerPoint topic by selecting the content and pressing the
“Delete” key.
