HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a national career
and technical education student organization operating in secondary and
postsecondary institutions. HOSA is endorsed by the U.S. Department of
Education as an integral part of the Health Science Education Curriculum.
• Over 87,000 members in pursuit of a career in the health professions.
• 2,200 secondary and postsecondary chapters sponsored by
local Instructors who serve as HOSA Chapter Advisors.
• 44 state associations.
Health Science Education Classroom
and HOSA Activities are Transparent
The Health Science Instructor serves as the HOSA Chapter Advisor thereby
integrating classroom and student organization activities in a transparent
manner.
• HOSA activities reinforce classroom instruction and connect students
with the healthcare community.
• HOSA plays a unique role in preparing students for further education
and entry level certification (CNA, EMT, etc.).
• HOSA promotes career opportunities in Health Care to the entire
school.
• HOSA is a student-led organization of future health care professionals
providing opportunities for health career students to develop,
practice and refine their leadership and teamwork skills.
