Education and Extension Service (CSREES) share a
common mission of providing positive youth
development programs
• Youth aged 5–19 participate in a wide variety of 4-H
programs led by youth development professionals and
volunteers
• The OMK initiative builds on the existing partnerships
between 4-H, all branches of service and the established
infrastructure of the State 4-H Military Liaisons.
• Contracted employee working for BPSI
• Plans, coordinates and executes youth
activities and development programs
• Primary planner for youth camps and
youth activities sponsored by the
TNARNG
• Three camps this year in Lavinia, Catoosa,
and Smyrna
• TYS unable to support this year

2007.’
• Provides information, services, referral, and
proactive outreach opportunities for service
members, families, employers, and youth
throughout the entire deployment cycle.
• Reintegration events at the 30,60, and 90 day
mark.
• Since 2004- 18 Strong Bonds events, over
750 participants, couples and singles.
• Joint Program, open to Army and Air
Guard (No Purple Money)
• #1 deterrent to combat effectiveness is
Poor Family Relationships.
• Force Multiplier – marriage enrichment
and family enrichment allows
Soldier/Airmen to focus on their mission
Summary
• We are a combat multiplier to the
commander
• We do not assist or participate in CAO or
NOK
• We have programs for single soldiers,
married soldiers and children
