How to help your child with home learning

   Establish a routine with your child: a set time and place for home learning to be done Check what tasks have been set and that your child understands what needs to be done Encourage independence: facilitate not dominate!

Expectations

In Year 5, the children will be encouraged to:  Further develop their ability to work independently   Pack their own bags Bring their own stationery - pencil - rubber - pencil sharpener - coloured pencils - small ruler with cm markings

Reward systems

 Class rewards include house points, responsible tasks eg. collecting house points, golden book awards, praise.
