Unveiling The Mystery,
Christ In You The Hope Of Glory
Ephesians 3:2-3 “ If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of
God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made
known unto me the mystery; as I wrote afore in few words.”
Colossians 1:27” To whom God would make known what is the riches
of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in
you, the hope of glory.”

When I See Jesus I
Understand –
The Work Has Been Done
Hebrews 2:10-11
• “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are
all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the
captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”
a. This was the desired purpose and plan of the Father.
b. All things are made for His purpose, and by Him.
c. In particular, Christ would make available to many sons a
way to get to glory.
d. Jesus becomes the Captain who seals the deal making
perfect what He accomplished through suffering.
This was the desired purpose and plan of the
Father.
• We have shared many times that the book of Hebrews presents Jesus
as the answer for the many problems the people of God were
experiencing. God had declared in the book of Genesis 3:15 that the
seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent. This was
Gods way of describing how He would redeem fallen man. Hebrews
chapter 9 gives us an even clearer picture of the significance of the
work of Christ. He doesn’t just exist, but He comes and follows a
particular pattern laid out by the Father. Here is also a place where
the Tabernacle has great significance of what Christ represents, as the
tabernacle was a shadow of greater things to come. Jesus is that
greater thing as He introduces Gods Grace into the picture.
All things are made for His purpose, and by Him.
• It should not be a strange thing for us to understand what this means.
Often times when we listen to what Jesus declares, He consistently
described His existence as one committed to fulfilling the Father’s
will. This means that what ever the Father wanted Him to do, that
was what He did. The most awesome picture of Him fulfilling the
Father’s will is seen in how He handles himself on the way to and
upon the cross. Isaiah 53:7 expresses it clearly, He was oppressed,
and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a
lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shears is dumb, so
he openeth not his mouth.
In particular, Christ would make available to many
sons a way to get to glory.
• When Jesus was about to go to the cross, in a meeting with His
disciples, He declares, John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life;
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me, and Hebrews 9:24, For
Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are
the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the
presence of God for us. What’s even more significant is the fact that
Jesus even now serves as an advocate on our behalf with the Father.
He continues to make intercession for us. He represents us before
the Father when the accuser of the brethren comes to tell. We are
saved by Grace, not because we have been good. Thank God for
Jesus!
Jesus becomes the Captain who seals the deal
making perfect what He accomplished through
suffering.
• The penalty for sin is death, explained in Genesis 2:17, but if we are
to live, it was not a penalty anyone could pay. Many do not
understand that we are living to live again. Yes I know it’s all in faith,
and for some it will take living a little longer to better understand
what we are saying. Here is the bottom line, God in His wisdom put
together an undefeatable plan to secure salvation for everyone.
Phipippians 2:6-12 exhorts Jesus was the one who fulfilled what
needed to take place and God makes Him Captain of our Salvation, no
one else was qualified to do what He did, no one but the one who
came out from the Father could understand the plan of God. The
greatest expression of love is for one to lay down His life for a friend.
For both he that sanctified and they who are sanctified
are all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to
call them brethren.
a. Here the writer begins to exhort the importance of unity
among those who have acknowledged what Jesus has
accomplished, and that there is only one source behind
the scene.
b. To now be unashamed and identified with Christ
challenges us to dig deeper within ourselves for the
courage to pursue after all God has for us.

• If we are authentic in our walk with Christ then we understand that
we are fueled by one Spirit. This one Spirit honors one thing, the
Word of God. If we are to be in unity with one another, we must align
our lives with the word and allow God to be glorified through the
sacrificial lives we live. The word of the Lord declares in Psalm 133:
that God commands blessings to the place were unity exists.
To now be unashamed and identified with Christ
challenges us to dig deeper within ourselves for the
courage to pursue after all God has for us.
• The amazing thing about God is that He has given us a road map in
His word. Our challenge is to overcome the many distractions and
sometimes setbacks that come in an effort to side trace or derail us
from the success God has already determined for our lives. If you
have ever experienced His goodness and if you are alive, you have,
then take off the blinders and go forward with confidence,
unashamed of the amazing God we serve. He has truly bought us out
of the dark and into the light. Let all see you know who are and in
whom you believe. Don’t allow the spirit of intimidation cause you
to be ashamed of the God you serve. Allow His light to shine through
you.
New Vision Of Life
• Definition: A new way of envisioning life fueled by
revelation of the word. You find that the word of God
is doing a work that can’t necessarily be described, all
you know is that you are more focused and determined
to move forward in the things of God than ever before.
New Vision For Life
1. You know that the word is working when you find
yourself being stirred from the understanding you get
from the word.
2. You must understand that when a person lives in faith
you don’t have to always see everything, you follow
the unction you get through the stirring that comes
from the Spirit.
3. Keeping your focus upon the word even if its only for
the time you are in service works mightily on your
behalf.
4. Now you see why its so important to keep
expectations alive (yours & others), if you allow the
enemy to control what you are believing God for you
will loose.
5. We possess the power to emulate Christ, this
pushes one beyond the regular limits Christians set
for themselves.
