‫المعجزة‬
An Extraordinary Event
A Devine Source
Can not be replicated by humans.

The Miracle of The Quran
The Quran is a miracle that is not
limited by place and time.
The Quran combines The Message and
The Miracle at the same time.
The Miracle of the Quran goes beyond
language into many aspects.
The Miracle of The Quran
The Devine Source
Could not have been scripted by The
Prophet PBUH
– The illiterate Prophet
And you were not (able) to
recite a Book before this
(Book came), nor were you
(able) to transcribe it with
your right hands: in that
case, indeed, would the
talkers of vanities have
doubted.

The Miracle of The Quran
The Devine Source
Could not have been scripted by The
Prophet PBUH
– Quran was not revealed according to the
request and the needs of the Prophet
PBUH
The Falsehood Event ‫( اإلفك‬A whole month
waiting)
The Miracle of The Quran
The Devine Source
Disagreement with some of
The Prophet’s actions.
[1] (The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
[2] Because there came to him the blind man
(interrupting).
[3] But what could tell you but that perchance
he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?
[4] Or that he might receive admonition, and the
teaching might benefit him?
[5] As to one who regards himself as selfsufficient,
[6] To him you attend;
[7] Though it is no blame on you if he grow not
(in spiritual understanding).
[8] But as to him who came to you striving
earnestly,
[9] And with fear (in his heart),
[10] Of him you were unmindful.

O Prophet! Why do you hold to
be forbidden that which Allah
has made lawful to you? You
seek to please your wives but
Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
Merciful.

The Devine Source

– Disagreement with some
of The Prophet’s actions.
It is not fitting for a Prophet that
he should have prisoners of war
until he has thoroughly subdued
the land. You look for the
temporal goods of this world;
but Allah looks to the Hereafter:
and Allah is Exalted in might,
Wise.

Say: "If the whole of mankind
and Jinns were to gather
together to produce the like of
this Qur-an they could not
produce the like thereof, even if
they backed up each other with
help and support.

[13] Or they may say, "He forged
it." Say, "Bring you then ten
Suras forged, like unto it, and
call (to your aid) whomsoever
you can, other than Allah! if you
speak the truth!
[14] "If then they (your false
gods) answer not your (call),
know you that this Revelation is
sent down (replete) with the
knowledge of Allah, and that
there is no god but He! Will you
even then submit (to Islam)?"

Or do they say, "He forged

like unto it, and call (to your

Allah, if it be you speak the

And if you are in doubt as to
what We have revealed from
time to time to Our servant,
then produce a Sura like
thereunto; and call your
witnesses or helpers (if there
are any) besides Allah, if
your (doubts) are true.

The Language of the Quran
– The Arabic Language: The richest in
vocabulary.
– The most derivative from one root. (40
words vs. 12 for English)
– Poetic Language: An art mastered by
Arabs before Islam. They hung poems on
Ka’aba.
The Miracle of The Quran
192] Verily this is a
Revelation from the
Lord of the worlds:
[193] With it came down
the Trustworthy Spirit
of Faith and Truth,
[194] To ypur heart and
mind, that you may
admonish (them)
[195] In the perspicuous
Arabic tongue.

The Beautiful Internal Rhythm of Quran
The Miracle of The Quran
The Rhythm is appropriate to the meaning.
42-24 : 80 ‫عبس‬
The Miracle of The Quran
The Rhythm is appropriate to the meaning.
O you who believe! what is
the matter with you, that,
when you are asked to go
forth in the Cause of Allah,
you cling heavily to the
earth? Do you prefer the life
of this world to the
Hereafter? But little is the
comfort of this life, as
compared with the Hereafter.
38 : 9 ‫التوبة‬
The Miracle of The Quran
Each word and letter has a purpose.
O my son! establish regular
prayer, enjoin what is just,
and forbid what is wrong;
and bear with patient
constancy whatever afflicts
you; for this is firmness (of
purpose) in (the conduct of)
affairs.
But indeed if any show
patience and forgive, that
would truly be an exercise of
courageous will and
resolution in the conduct of
affairs.

Parables of the Quran

61 : 25 َ‫الفرقا‬
Parables of the Quran
O ye who believe! Cancel not
your charity by reminders of
your generosity or by injury,
like those who spend their
substance to be seen of men,
but believe neither in Allah nor
in the Last Day. They are in
Parable like a hard barren rock,
on which is a little soil; on it
falls heavy rain, which leaves it
(just) a bare stone. They will be
able to do nothing with what
they have earned. And Allah
guides not those who reject
Faith.
264 : 2 ‫البقرة‬
Parables of the Quran
And the likeness of those who
spend their substance, seeking
to please Allah and to
strengthen their souls, is as a
garden, high (elevated ground)
and fertile; heavy rain falls on it
but makes it yield a double
increase of harvest, and if it
receives not heavy rain, light
moisture suffices it. Allah sees
well whatever you do .
265 : 2 ‫البقرة‬
Parables of the Quran
The parable of those who take
protectors other than Allah is
that of the Spider, who builds
(to itself) a house; but truly the
flimsiest of houses is the
Spider's house; if they but
knew. .
41 : 29 ‫العنكبوت‬
The Structural Weakness
The Family Life Weakness
Parables of the Quran
175- Relate to them the story of
the man to whom We sent Our
Signs, but he passed them by: so
Satan followed him up, and he
went astray.
176- If it had been Our Will, We
should have elevated him with Our
Signs; but he inclined to the earth,
and followed his own vain desires.
His similitude is that of a dog: if
you attack him, he pants, or if you
leave him alone, he (still) pants.
That is the similitude of those who
reject Our Signs; so relate the
story; perchance they may reflect.
..
176 : 29 ‫العنكبوت‬
Parables of the Quran
There are among men some
who serve Allah, as it were, on
the verge: if good befalls them,
they are, therewith, well
content; but if a trial comes to
them, they turn on their faces;
they lose both this world and
the Hereafter: that is loss for all
to see! .
