Zambia National Malaria Indicator Survey (MIS) 2010 Questionnaires Background • Zambia Malaria Indicator Survey objectives: – – – – To collect up-to-date information on Coverage of Core interventions in National Malaria Strategic Plan to guide planning and implementation. Assess malaria parasite prevalence according to the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Monitoring and Evaluation Reference Group (MERG) recommendations, and in accordance with national recommendations; Assess the status of (severe) anaemia among the target populations (children 6-36 months) according to the RBM MERG recommendations; Strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Health and local partners in implementation of malaria surveys.
