NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze,
For the holidays you can't beat home sweet home.
I met a man who lives in Tennessee, And he was headin' for
Pennsylvania, And some home-made pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are travelin' down to Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee the traffic is terrific.
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays,
'Cause no matter how far away you roam,
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays you can't beat home sweet home.
JINGLE BELL ROCK
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock,
Jingle bell swing and jingle bells ring.
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun,
Now the jingle hop has begun.
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock,
Jingle bell chime in jingle bells time
Dancin' and prancing in jingle bell square in the frosty air.
What a bright time, it's the right time to rock the night away
Jingle bell time, is a swell time, to go gliding in a one-horse sleigh.
Giddy up jingle horse, pick up your feet, Jingle around the clock,
Mix and mingle in a jingling beat,
That’s the jingle bell, that's the jingle bell, that’s the jingle bell rock.
FROSTY THE SNOW MAN
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say,
He was made of snow but the children know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head he began to dance around
Oh, Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be
And the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me.
Frosty the snowman knew the sun was hot that day
So he said, Let's run and we'll have some fun now before I melt away
Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand
Running here and there all around the square sayin' "Catch me if you can."
He led them down the streets of town right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler, "stop!"
For Frosty the snowman had to hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye sayin' "Don't you cry I'll be back again some day."
RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer had a very shine nose.
And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glowed.
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas eve, Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight."
Then how the reindeer loved him, as they shouted out with glee:
"Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history!"
DECK THE HALLS
Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la la la la la
Tis the season to be jolly, Fa, la la la la la la la la
Don we now our gay apparel, Fa la la . . . .
Troll the ancient Yuletide carol, Fa la la la . . . .
See the blazing Yule before us . . . .
Strike the harp and join the chorus . . . .
Follow me in merry measure . . . .
While I tell of Yule tide treasure . . . .
Fast away the old year passes . . ..
Hail the new ye lads and lasses . . . .
Sing we joyous all together . . . .
Heedless of the wind and weather . . . . .
Sleigh bells ring, are you list'ning?
In the lane, snow is glist'nin'
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird,
He sings a love song, as we go along,
Walkin' in the winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He'll say, "Are you married?" We'll say "No Man!
But you can do the job when you're in town."
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire,
We'll face unafraid, the plans that we made,
Walkin' in a winter wonderland.
LET IT SNOW
Oh! The weather outside is frightful, But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go, Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping, And I brought some corn for popping!
The lights are turned way down low, let it snow! let it snow! let it snow!
When we finally kiss goodnight, How I hate goin’ out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight, All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying and my dear, we're still good-bying
But as long as you love me so. Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
JINGLE BELLS
Dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh
O'vr the fields we go, laughing all the way
Bells on bobtails ring, making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight!
Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! Jingle all the way!
Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh!
Now the ground is white, go it while you're young
Take the girls tonight, and sing this sleighing song
Just get a bobtail nag, two forty for his speed
Then hitch him to an open sleigh and crack! You'll take the lead.
Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! Jingle all the way!
Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh!

UP ON THE HOUSETOP
Up on the housetop reindeer pause,
Out jumps dear old Santa Claus;
Down thru the chimney with lots of toys,
All for the little ones' Christmas joys.
Ho, ho, ho, who wouldn't go?
Ho, ho, ho! who wouldn't go?
Up on the housetop, click, click, click,
Down thru the chimney with good Saint Nick.
First comes the stocking of little Nell;
Dear old Santa, fill it well;
Give her a dolly that laughs and cries;
One that will open and shut her eyes.
MY DREIDEL
I have a little dreidel. I made it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready, O dreidel I shall play
Oh, dreidel, dreidel l, dreidel, I made it out of clay
Oh, dreidel, dreidel, dreidel, Now dreidel I shall play
JOLLY OLD ST. NICHOLAS
Jolly old Saint Nicholas, Lean your ear this way!
Don't you tell a single soul! What I'm going to say;
Christmas eve is coming soon; Now, you dear old man,
Whisper what you'll bring to me; Tell me if you can.
When the clock is striking 12, When I'm fast asleep,
Down the chimney, broad and black, with your pack you'll creep;
All the stockings you will find, Hanging in a row;
Mine will be the shortest one, You'll be sure to know.
Johnny wants a pair of skates; Susy wants a dolly;
Nellie wants a story book, She thinks dolls are folly,
Now I think I'll leave to you, What to give the rest;
Choose for me dear Santa Claus, You will know the best.
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN
Oh, you better watch out, You better not cry
You better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He's making a list, checking it twice,
Gonna find out who's naughty or nice
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you're sleeping,
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake!
Oh, you better watch out, you better not cry
You better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
HANUKKAH
Dreidel spin round and round,
Make your merry whirring sound,
Hanukkah brings its joys;
Happy are the girls and boys.
One by one light each candle,
At this joyous time of year.
As they glow, spin the dreidel;
Hanukkah brings its cheer.
