Narrative Tic-Tac-Toe: _____________________
Complete any three squares across, down, or diagonally.
You are directing a film version of a
specific narrative, wherein the
characters will be played by famous
actors. Which actor will you cast for
each character within your story?
Think of the character’s specific
personality traits that you would need
to be displayed by this famous
actor/actress. Defend your choices for
each character listing why the
actor/actress would be a good choice
for that role. (You may want to do this
in the form of a chart)
Rewrite a narrative of your choice in a
different setting (e.g. future, different
country, modern times, etc.). In
addition to the narrative write a short
paragraph discussing how the change
of setting has affected what is
portrayed by the narrative (character
personalities, problems, solutions,
values, etc.)
Create a Facebook profile page for a
specific character from one of the
narratives we discussed in class.
Include all information included on a
Facebook profile page (friends,
location, phone number, activities,
beliefs, etc.) (8 ½ x 11 page)
Create a story of your own developing
your own characters, setting, etc. to
explain how a specific element in
nature was created or how the element
is maintained (wind, thunder, lightning,
rain, snow, etc.)
Create a classroom newspaper (8 ½
X 11) based on events that took place
in the Norse narratives we discussed
in class. Write complete ads, comics,
and sports from a Norse point of view
for the day after the events have taken
place. (Include at least 2 news stories)
Write a gossip column that could be
included in a newspaper, describing an
interesting or amusing event that takes
place within the narratives that we
covered in class.
Choose a character from one of the
narratives we studied in class.
Suppose this character wants to apply
for a job. Write a resume stating
his/her qualifications for a specific job.
Create 3 poems discussing one of
narratives we covered in class.
Summarize the basic plot of one of the
narratives we discussed in class by
writing it as a cartoon.
