Communicating with your Instructor
• Check Course Outline for instructions
– Email address given?
• Use only that email to contact instructor privately
– Use Blackboard Mail (Messages)?
• Use Blackboard to send AND view replies
• Quick link on Entry page
– Instructors usually also give a phone number
• Post to Discussions links (within weekly content or
Discussions link in Navigation
– All students can view postings (unless a private Group)
• Collaborate sessions? Online Internet communication
– Must log on at the required time
– Have a head set with mic correctly set up beforehand
• Use Audio Set up Wizard (every time!)
Assignments
• Click on Assignment link
• Read Assignment instructions (submit as
Microsoft Word unless instructed otherwise)
• Click Browse My Computer button to locate
and upload saved Assignment file
• Click on Submit button (bottom right)
• Note confirmation of submission received
• When marked, check My Grades
Tests (Quizzes)
• Click Test link
– Only available during specified time
• Read instructions
– May allow for one or multiple attempts, etc.
• Click Begin button (bottom right)
• Save each question as you proceed
• When finished, click Save All Answers, then Save
and Submit (bottom right)
• Note submission confirmation
