Generations and Gender Surveys in Russia –
2nd wave


The Russian GGS 2nd wave was conducted by the IISP
(Moscow) with the financial support of the:

Pension Fund of the Russian Federation,

UNFPA,

Russian Charitable Foundation “Victoria”,

Russian Savings Bank “Sberbank Rossii” and

Ford Foundation.
The design and standard survey instruments of the GGS were
adjusted to the Russian context by the IISP (Moscow) and the
Demoscope Independent Research Center (Moscow).

Multi-stage probability sample of dwelling units

Employment Scheme (EES) survey and to Russian
Longitudinal Monitoring Survey (RLMS)

Possibilities of Panel Maintenance: Respondents, who agree to
be interviewed repeatedly
55.8% of total sample have agreed to be interviewed
after 3 years AND provided telephone numbers of
people who can be contacted if R will move
That consists of 26.7% of new sample
and 73.3% of old sample
Among new sample the percent of agreeable= 49.7%
old sample the percent of agreeable = 58.4%
