– $1.1 billion available nationally – two years.
– Grants are available to any public or private entity.
– Compares treatments and strategies to improve health to help clinicians
and patients to decide on the best treatment.
– Research will help improve the health of communities and the
performance of the health system.

• Prevention and Wellness Funding - $1
billion
– These funds are available to the State Department for Public Health
only.
– $300 million for the CDC 317 immunization program;
• KY receiving $2.7 million for immunizations
– $650 million for evidence-based clinical and community-based
prevention and wellness strategies, authorized under the Public
Health Services Act.
– $50 million to states to implement healthcare-associated infection
prevention strategies.
