Answered: 31 Skipped: 65 I think there is room for improvement with regards to inconsistencies between the year 2 classes especially as far as reading is concerned. Some children seem to be expected to read every book in a stage in one class but in the next class they skip lots of books and get moved on. Saying that my chil d has been very happy and has had a brilliant time at the school. Very good school & loves it Will be sad to leave. I feel my child has made some progress but do not feel that his learning is differentiated higher in all aspects of curriculum to give him a challenge and develop his learning further. I also feel that as a parent we were told the children would be using pre cursive/cursive to write and my child has been joining his letters in his writing but has not always received support in this and the class work up in the hall for the star writers is in print. This makes it confusing for us as parents as do we continue with the cursive and joining the letters which the child wants to do or do we just encourage the pre cursive print. I think the school is a lovely place for the children to learn and develop their foundation skills to learning within the reception class but do believe that if a child is at a slightly higher level than challenge is needed in the work to support this so the boredom doesn't set in. The activities are fun and my child loves coming to school. Thank you to Miss Harris and her team for all their hard work this year. My child has thrived in her year 2 class. Great enthusiastic teaching from staff members who clearly enjoy what they do. She adores them and is more than happy to go to school each morning. Is the best school. Happy with everything at school Happy with everything at school well organized and reputated school with nice teachers and head teacher.my daughter(Jasmine Johnston) praise them a lot. There have been a few incidents with another student in her form that I know have been ongoing with other parents as well, however when I spoke with the school they treated it as though this was a one off. My child has really enjoyed their first year at CIS. He has come on leaps and bounds in his reading, maths and social skills. Many of the special topics covered have been if great interest to him and given him the learning bug. We look forward to 2 more outstanding years. I have one child in the school and one that went and both love going to school and really like the teachers. Exellent School We r completely satisfied with the school's progress I am so happy that my daughter, Kavya studies at Cippenham Infant School. Fantastic school with great staff :-) thank you so much for the great effort you all put in to make this school a happy learning place for our children. This school is so outstanding that it is a shame when the children leave and have to attend the primary school next door (Where it is in no way as good all round). Powered by Question 19: Any other comments? Answered: 31 Skipped: 65 I am happy with the over all progress my daughter made in the foundation year but I strongly feel that she could have done better potentially than she has this year...as she shows signs of excellence in various areas which may have not been tapped into by the teachers. Maybe more one-to-one time could benefit to know the child's potential a bit better. Than you. Thank You for everything! The teachers are very friendly, helpful and approachable. I can't express enough how impressed we are with this school. They go above and beyond to ensure that children have their individual needs met, are valued and supported to reach their potential. We have always felt listened to as has our son. The extra support for children with additional needs are excellent eg our son has a mild hearing loss and he also attended a social skills group in reception. Their is a community feel at the school and the leadership team are always present and welcoming. We are very proud and feel privileged that our children can have this start to their education. not happy that younger siblings are not welcome at many events We could not be happier with this school. Always feel welcome and able to voice any concerns, knowing they will be dealt with. Our son is doing extremely well and always talks of his teachers encouraging him to do well. I think the school does a marvellous job, can't fault it. I couldn't be happier with the start my son has had to his schooling. His teachers completely understand his strengths and the areas he needs further support. I am really impressed by the progress he has made over the last year. The staff are all caring and nuturing and its obvious he loves going to school every day. Thanks Thanks for your support My daughter has had a fantastic start to her schooling! We always wanted her to go here, and we're so glad she did. Thank you all for your time, patience, perseverance, understanding and kindness over the past year...especially Miss Harris and Mrs Overton...we need more inspiring teacher's and staff like you. We're looking forward to the adventures in Year 1 :-) Would like to see current relevant information on the website, I see it as the first point of contact and would usually go there to find out day to day information which does not seem to be available. My son has excelled in his first year at school, thank you so much Thanks for every thing 😀 The reading books are not changed often enough. Also more regular communication on his progress other than the normal parent evening is needed. Lovely school, lovely teachers, lovely kids :0) My child will leave the school in July. Our experience has been fantastic and I would like to thank the school for everything they have done. Powered by
