What has changed since October 2013
• January 2014 start of Family and Babies home
visiting model in West Suffolk Hospital. 5.8%
increase was observed for mothers breast
feeding at 6-8 weeks between Q3 and Q4
2013/14.
• Infant feeding coordinator posts in both West
Suffolk Hospital and Ipswich Hospital secured
for future to ensure continuation of UNICEF
accreditation and increase initiation.
• From October 2014 we will be creating
Universal provider of peer supporter training
in children centres across East and West
Suffolk.
• Plans for East Suffolk home visiting model to
be in place this financial year (final model
maybe affected by funding decisions of
partner organisations).

have been made in Suffolk
services and across Suffolk
