PowerPoint Viewer
If you do not have PowerPoint on your machine, please note
that a freely distributed version of PowerPoint viewer is on
the CD-ROM, in the folder called POWERPOINT VIEWER.
It allows users to open and view PowerPoint presentations.
PowerPoint Viewer lets you view full-featured presentations
created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions. You can view
and print presentations, but you cannot edit them in the
PowerPoint Viewer.
For additional information, or to check for a more recent
version on the viewer, go to www.microsoft.com.
Installation of Viewer
Double-click on the ppviewer.exe program file in the
PowerPoint Viewer folder of the CD-ROM. Follow the
instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Using Keyboard Navigation
Keyboard keys PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, ARROW KEYS,
and a variety of other PowerPoint keyboard navigation
options can be used to maneuver through the presentations.
For more information on keyboard navigation, press F1
during a slide show.
Launching Files
When opening files for the first time in a session, there will
be a short wait (length of time depends on the speed of your
computer) while the file loads. Subsequent loads of files in
the same session should be much faster.
Notes for design.pps
The Principles of Floral Design (design.pps) presentation
has a complete set of notes that can be used as a script.
Option 1. To print out speaker notes, open design.pps in
PowerPoint. Select File, Print. In the print dialog box,
find the Print what: field and select notes pages from the
drop-down list. This will print out a page for each frame
of the presentation.
Option 2. There is an Adobe file named design.pdf on
the CD-ROM. This file also can be printed to create a set
of speaker notes.
If you need to install Adobe Reader on your computer,
see the Adobe Reader folder on the CD-ROM.
