• Longitude- imaginary lines running vertically (up and down)
on a map to help locate a location
• Prime meridian- imaginary line that runs north to south
pole at 0 degrees longitude. It runs through Greenwich,
England.
• Equator- imaginary line around the earth separating the
earth into north and south. Located at 0 degrees latitude.
Map Assignment
• On you map, label latitude, longitude, the
prime meridian, and the equator.
• Color Greece blue.
• Color the United States yellow.
• Put a star where Georgia is located.
