GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Political Science and International
Relations at Epoka University began its activity for the
first time in 2008-2009 academic year .
Currently, at the first cycle studies there are first, second
and third classes which continue their education. The first
generation of the first cycle will graduate in 2011-12
academic year.
Mission
The Department aspires to be a leader in the field of politics and governance by
educating its students towards the promotion of:
peace and justice
equity and sustainability
inclusiveness and
respect for human rights
The Department’s main objective is to provide a balanced education committed to
diversity. In addition to courses that orient them to the field, students are given the
opportunity to conduct extensive research on such contemporary issues as the
European Union, political economy, democratization, human rights, gender and
identity politics.

students’ interests. Through various surveys that are made with
students, the Department takes into account their appreciation
to the academic staff and expectations they have from the
department.
