March 17, 2015Administrators Workgroup Agenda Introductions Announcements / Updates (Raquel Espinosa) RADG Updates Institutional Base Salaries HR transactions (Discussion: All) • Recruitment Process • Annual Performance Evaluations Q & A – All 2 Announcements/Updates Pre-award Role • Friday, March 20th is Chanda Robe’s last day • Currently proposals are being reviewed and submitted by PHS RM – RSS services • Subcontracts-out: are up to date and new ones will be assigned based on level of complexity 4 5 McL FY15 Provisional Fringe Benefit Rates • New FY15 McL Fringe Benefit rates have been submitted to DHHS for approval. • When the new rate agreement has been issued, a more complete update will be given. • Until then the provisional fringe benefit rates below will be charged to all research grants. • Current Rate agreement is still dated September 13, 2012. 6 NIH – NCE view in eCommons 7 Recent DEA Inspections DEA or Other Regulatory Agency Inspections Researcher Registration holders at area hospitals are subject to little to no advanced notice by state or regulatory agencies. If you receive an alert that an agent will be coming on-site for an inspection, please notify the McL Compliance Officer (617-855-2598). 8 Pre-award Updates • Mixed versions of NIH biosketches may be used in the same proposal application due on or before 05/25/15. • If sponsor does not cover IDC or fringe and it is to be supported by the department – use Cost share form to document: • Amount of cost share – attach calculation • Reference cost share source • Signature of owner of source 9 RADG Updates Institutional Base Salaries IBS on Grant Proposal Budget Institutional Base Salaries on budget proposals should reflect the information in the PeopleSoft system with merit. IBS’ above these amounts require written prior approval from: 1. Dr. Scott Rauch- Faculty 2.
