The slowing economy is certain to play a role in the continued deployment of
VoIP. SMBs (Small to Medium Business) are the fastest growing market for VoIP services.
Many decision makers are more likely to seek solutions involving less up-front
costs
According to Frost and Sullivan, there were close to one million hosted VoIP
telephone lines installed across the US by the end of 2008
Researchers predict that level would grow to 3.6 million by 2014 as demand for
the technology continues to increase.
According to VoIP and UC Services and Subscribers Report the first half of
2009, the VoIP services market worldwide grew to $20.7 Billion!
Small businesses will continue to be attracted to hosted IP telephony offerings
primarily for cost-efficient voice communications or to gain access to a complete
unified communications package from a single provider.

VoiceWalker Music on Hold
Music On Hold (when enabled) enables group administrators to upload an audio file
(.wav file containing music, advertising, and so on) onto the system to be broadcast to
held parties. This service can be used in conjunction with the following services: Call
Hold and Call Park. Music on Hold provide a great opportunity to get your company’s
message or promotions to key customers or prospects as they are on hold or
transitioning through an Auto Attendant within your Hosted System. It can be enabled
by user (by an end user or group administrator) or by group (by a group administrator).
Audio files are uploaded though Technical Support.
VoiceWalker Auto Attendant
The Auto Attendant serves as an automated receptionist that answers the phone and provides a
personalized message to callers with options for connecting to the operator, dialing by name or
extension, or connecting to up to nine configurable extensions (for example, 1 = Marketing, 2 =
Sales, and so on). Configuration via the CommPilot group web interface also allows for hours of
operation to be modified, with different options available for hours that the company is open or
closed. Group administrators use their voice portal to record auto attendant greetings. A group
can have multiple Auto Attendants configured, either individually (for example, customer service
with separate business hours) or integrated into a multi-level Auto Attendant (for example,
enterprise’s main Auto Attendant is configured to seamlessly route to the Auto Attendant of a
particular department or location).
* Auto Attendant is
an optional feature
that incurs an
additional cost
when selected.
