What is an EAP and Work-life Program?

 Provides help to you and eligible family members  Addresses any issue that is affecting your life and work

Access When You Need It

 EAP and work-life services are available anytime, any day, 365 days a year.

 There is no cost to you for using these services. Your employer provides this service to you as a benefit.

How do EAP and Work-life Services Help?

Primary purpose is to help you and your family address personal and professional issues and live better and happier lives

How Do I Begin?

 One phone call to the toll-free number puts you on the path to help and resources.

 It doesn’t have to be a crisis to call.  Your EAP addresses both complex issues and everyday questions.

What Happens When I Call?

 A customer service representative will ask you for your name.  You will then speak with an employee assistance manager (EAM) who will ask you some questions.  The EAM will suggest the next steps to resolve your request or issue and arrange for such assistance when necessary .

What Does Help Include?

 Handling a crisis  Accessing appropriate resources in the community  Identifying an experienced, licensed professional conveniently located near your home or office for a face-to-face session (in selected models)  Providing help accessing services from counselors, hospitals, or other programs covered by your behavioral health benefits  Connecting you to our work-life consultants for assistance

Is My Information Confidential?

We maintain strict confidentiality within the limits of the law.

 We do not share personal information unless mandated by law or you give your written permission.

Two exceptions to confidentiality mandated by law:  If neglect or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult is involved  If harm to self or harm to others is imminently likely
