Sustainable Urban Mobility in Asia
A CAI-Asia Program
Realizing Sustainable Urban
Transport in Asia: The need
for stronger and broader
partnerships
•CAI-Asia program focuses on (i) improving urban
air quality, (ii) reducing CO2 emissions and (iii)
improving road safety

Sustainable Urban Mobility in Asia (SUMA)
There is a need for a strong platform in Asia
where various organizations can sit together
to exchange information on SUT and develop a
critical mass of change in favor of SUT
An Asian SUT regional network can help to
build capacity in national and local
governments as well as private sector to plan
and implement SUT programs and projects
Does SUMA the potential to become the
leading regional initiative on urban transport?
Will a TRB in Asia help in establishing such an
Asian network? ---- Yes!
