Honorarium
 Upper limit of the honorarium for Anganwadi
Worker per annum may be enhanced from Rs.
12000 to Rs. 12763 per annum in order to cover
the increased expenditure consequent on the
payment of higher rate of honorarium on
completion of 5 years and 10 years.

 The upper limit of Rs. 600 per Anganwadi/annum
may be increased to Rs. 1000 due to the increase
in cost of medicine
Pre-School kit
 The Upper limit of Rs. 500 may be enhanced Rs.
1000 per AW/annum due to the increase in the cost
of raw materials

Additional inputs provided by State Government
 GOK provided financial assistance for the construction
of AW building @3 lakhs for 1472 AWCs-2005-2006 .
 Under Modernisation of Government Programme 1102
AWC have been selected for service delivery
improvement and infrastructure development. The
estimated project cost is Rs. 48 cores, out of which Rs.
20 cores spent during 2005-06.

Additional inputs provided by State Government
 Local Self Government in the State have set
apart 10 % of the total plan allocation for women
empowerment activities and 5 % for children, old aged
and disabled persons programme.
 Government have constituted ICDS coordination
committees from Panchayath level to State level for
effective convergence of service.
 Govt. have formulated the State Plan of Action for
Child in Kerala 2004 and declared it as a Policy
Document for implementation in the State.
 State Govt. have adopted a policy to make the State
Malnutrition Free.
