Recommendation to the Board
– The Bylaws requirement for candidates for Region Office
to have served on the Region Board or as a Region
Committee Chair within the last five years limits the pool
of potential candidates to less than 50 members of the
Northeast Region. Among those 50, more than a dozen are
those who have already served.
– Many dedicated members who have previously served on
the region board or committees but not in the recent past
are ineligible.
– Many dedicated members who have extensive experience
serving their chapter board and committees for years are
ineligible.
The Nominating Committee recommends the board
review the criteria and revise to enlarge the pool of
potential candidates for office.
