WAIGF: AfriNIC is leading efforts to organise a regional
IGF event in West Africa.

Infrastructure redundancy Plan

Review of online training tools (material, CBT, virtual Lab
… etc).

Root Servers Anycast Copy Program:
◦ First Node installed in Tanzania two weeks ago
◦ Two requests in the pipe.

AfriNIC Routing Registry

Reviewing and exploring a full automation of new
membership process.
Office Relocation
Project

One of our major side project this year is the
relocation to new office.
◦ Turned Key approach: Call for proposal for design
and fit out (completed - 7765 sq.ft)
 Plan to move by end of 2009

Continue to support other sister Organizations
◦ AfTLD: Continue Administrative and Financial support.
Sponsors AfTLD annual meetings.
◦ AfNOG: Continue to cooperate with AfNOG in several areas

◦ AAU/AfREN: Planning LIR/IPv6 session for RENs focal
points over the continent. Provide support to
academic sector to get IP resources they need. A fund
is being put in place to support Universities in
becoming AfriNIC member for Resources allocations

Successful AfriNIC-10 meeting in Cairo back to back
with AfNOG, AfREN and AAF.
