VCPL Prefabricated Shelters
 VCPL Prefabricated Shelters a division of Vidhya Cylinders P. Ltd, was established in the
year 2008. The entry into Prefabricated Shelters by Vidhya Cylinders was part of a forward
integration extension to its original fabrication business of cylinders. Vidhya Cylinders the
parent company is in the business of Manufacturing, importing, exporting of various types of
welded cylinders, industrial gas cylinders, domestic & commercial gas cylinders, Drum , Guardrails
,Prefab huts & Aluminum water tanks. We in VCPL, being aware of the growing demand for group
accommodations & for quick fix solutions for varied requirements of the industrial & domestic
sector, we set up a state-of-the-art unit to manufacture PREFABRICATED SHELTERS. These
structures are manufactured off-site in advance at our unit & are designed to be created as per
approved quality drawings. These structures cover various applications including Barracks, Site
Offices, Site Accommodation, Class Rooms, Storage Shed, Labor Camps, Transit Camps, Guard
House, Sentry Post, Roof Top Accommodation, Cottages, Partitions, Resort Accommodation, Low
Cost Housing, Health Center, Aganvadis etc. any many more. manufactures custom made
structures for which necessary information regarding requirements has to be intimated by the client
and the company works out the best configuration which is idle suited of ones requirement and is
cost effective.

Overview Prefabricated Structure
The criteria for design of VCPL Prefab has been:
•Simple engineering requiring no high skills.
•The elements or the components of the shelters should be in small
sizes that can be transported easily even in a difficult terrain and
manually handled at site of work.
•The erection should be fast requiring no machinery.
•The shelters should have high strength and light weight requiring
less foundation.
•In case of need these shelters should be feasible for dismantling
and re-erecting in different location with minimum loss of materials
or high salvage value.
•The design should have flexibility and adoptability from a small
shed to a posh building as required by the customer.
•Above all they should be durable, comfortable and cost effective.
Applications (Barracks)
•Defense & Paramilitary use this form of Barracks as a quick fix alternative to group
accommodation in all terrains & condition.
•These Barracks come in sizes to accommodate comfortably between 12-50 jawans at a time.
• Being insulated these barracks can withstand relatively tough weather conditions.
• These barracks can be partitioned & put to many alternative uses too.

Technical Specifications (Optional Panels)
•Aerocon Insta panels is a slim and lightweight wall panel consisting of a core of portland
cement, binders, silicaceous & micaceous . These panels are an excellent substitute for
plasterboard, plywood, particleboard and brickwalls because of their sheer strength coupled
with fire & moisture-resistance properties and ease of installation.
• PUF Panel Systems are specifically designed to cater all kinds of Cold Storage, Telecom
Shelters, Living Shelters & Clean Room Enclosures. The high performance and quality
offered by these systems ensures extra strength, better overlap, weather tightness, corrosion
resistance, low maintenance cost and good aesthetics. These panels are interlocked with each
other using Cam Lock Systems or through Tongue & Groove arrangement, which ensures a
precise interlocking of panels and dimensional accuracy. This eliminates the risk of thermal
bridging & provides an air tight joints between panels after erection.

Other Conditions & Compliances
Completion Period
Time will be the essence of the contract . Contract period for each work site shall be
fixed from the schedule date of commencement. The job of erection at site shall
be started as per instructions of EIC.
Defect Liability period
Defect Liability Period of the job shall be 12 ( Twelve) months after complete
handing over of each structure.
Method of Measurements
Measurement shall be taken jointly after the erection of Prefabricated Structure.
Clear measurement (Plinth level) shall be payable.
All brought out materials shall be in accordance with CPWD / IS Specifications
and shall be used subject to approval.
All Safety & statutory requirements to be complied with.
DGS&D Rate Contract
Pre-fabricated structures have come up to its real importance with its wide applicability and
acceptability. These structures are now a days a need rather than a luxury. The DGS&D with this
objective brought Pre-fabricated Structures on their Rate Contract.
Pre-fabricated structures manufactured by us under DGS&D Rate Contract has proved to
be highly useful for various Government Institutions. These shelters are more comfortable and
durable providing relief from extreme climatic conditions prevalent in India. They are also
economical in the long run as they last for almost twenty-five years .These structures provide
better living conditions and are fire, water, termite retardant.
