Multidisciplinary Studies Endorsement

• • • • Allows students to select courses from multiple areas Focuses on the four foundation subject areas, Advanced Placement courses and dual credit courses Does not follow a specific career path Serves as the default endorsement for students who do not make a selection © North East Independent School District, 2014 4

Multidisciplinary Studies Requirements

Three Programs of Study: 1) Advanced Placement and Dual Credit Courses 2) Academic foundation subjects 3) AVID* *Requires an application process.

Selecting an Endorsement

• Students must select an endorsement upon entering ninth grade • Students may change their endorsement any time, and written notice will be provided to parents • Multidisciplinary Studies endorsement will be the default selection for students who do not make an endorsement selection © North East Independent School District, 2014 14
