Mandatos formales
Formal Commands
Formal commands are often referred to as polite
commands because they are used to be polite or
express respect when telling someone to do
something.
To make formal commands:
Start with the yo form of the present indicative.
Drop the -o ending.
Add the following endings:
-ar verbs: -e (for Ud.), -en (for Uds.)
-er and -ir verbs: -a (for Ud.), -an (for Uds.)

command (& accent rule)

Negative formal commands
No verb changes!
RID pronounds are placed
before the verb.
1. Don’t smoke (fumar).
