Are the resources (journals, ebooks and databases) available as a package or as single titles only?

-All are available as single titles or in packages.

Do you allow coursepacks (printed or/and electronic from any of your resources?

-Yes – printed and electronic content is available to use in coursepacks.

Do you allow ILL and walk-in users?

-Walk in users are allowed access.

-ILL is allowed with conditions: - A print-out of part of the licensed databases, eJournal contents and eBooks (e.g. an eJournal article or an eBook chapter) via non-commercial inter-library loan services. -This only applies to paper print-outs; electronic copies may not be made. The use of the „Ariel Interlibrary Loan Software“ for the transmission of a small proportion of the licensed databases, eJournal contents and eBooks to a printer/fax of another library is allowed, -Transmission to e-mail addresses is not permitted. The transmission of whole eBooks via non-commercial inter-library loan services is not allowed.

-Do users need special software installed to access and read your ebooks? If yes, which?

No. Ebooks are in standard PDF format.

-What is the allowed percentage in printing and copying per ebook?

Authorized users can make individual print-outs or electronic copies of individual articles or chapters

-Can the ebooks be downloaded to a PDA or hand-held computer?

Yes – the content is PDF format.

-Can a copy of the ebook be downloaded to a local server?

Complete

copies of books may not be downloaded to a local server.

What type of lending model for the ebooks do you use on your platform?

We sell the eBooks to an institution, this institution can't lend the eBooks to other users, who aren't users of the institution in direct affiliation.

-Are the latest editions of your ebooks offered and will they be updated when a new edition is available?

Yes, all latest editions are made available electronically, and can be purchased separately.

-Do you provide MARC records for individual titles free of charge?

Yes. MARC records are supplied free of charge.

- Can the ebooks be integrated into federated search systems or services, i.e. metasearching or cross-database searching?

-Not for institutions.

-Do you offer metadata for Table of Contents for journals and ebooks?

We can make journals metadata available in XML format. For ebooks MARC records, and TOC as PDF files.
