Master Academic Plan • The Master Academic Plan establishes goals in the following four areas: o Becoming financially sustainable o Becoming distinctively BSU o Becoming internationally competitive o Designing organizational support for MAP goals MAP: Sustainable, Distinctive, International • Implement new partnerships that jointly fund new initiatives and programming for the university/NTC. o Tribal consortium. o NW consortium. o Greater Bemidji. o Bemidji LEADS. o Bemidji Chamber. o Watermark Art Center. o MI2, HTEC. o International partnerships. • AASCU/CEAIE/CIBT. MAP: Sustainable, Distinctive, International • Move beyond the current ‘aligned institutions’ designation with NTC. o Address liberal education fit within the new designation. o Address developmental education within the new designation. MAP: Sustainable, Distinctive, International • Limit the size of BSU majors to 60 semester hours. • Provide a route for BSU students to obtain at least one additional credential (e.g. certificate or minor) outside the major but within the 120 semester credit expectation.
