
Length of term: March 2011- September
2011.

Convened in March with two introductory
calls.
THINK GROUP

Purpose: Explore how different systems define
and utilize “Respite.”

Desired Outcome: a common language
surrounding “Respite”, “Caregiver”, and “Care
Recipient.”

Process: Monthly conference calls with
presentations by representatives from a
variety of systems – generating information
about Respite in different service systems.

Challenges

The biggest challenge:
the meaning of ‘respite’ in
different systems, for different
populations –
incorporating all of it under the
‘lifespan respite’ definition.
When all is said and done
The work of the THINK GROUP will
be used to provide the framework
of the Respite Inventory Process.
