1. Come, Lord Jesus –
The people needed a Savior.
Sin separated man from God,
but Jesus came to bring
reconciliation.
Therefore the Lord himself will give
you a sign: The virgin will be with
child and will give birth to a son, and
will call him Immanuel.
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light; on those
living in the land of the shadow of
death a light has dawned… For to us a
child is born, to us a son is given, and
the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting
Father, Prince of Peace. Of the
increase of his government and
peace there will be no end. He will
reign on David's throne and over his
kingdom, establishing and upholding
it with justice and righteousness from
that time on and forever. The zeal of the
LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
(Isaiah 7:14; 9:2-7, NIV)
In the sixth month, God sent the angel
Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to
a virgin pledged to be married to a man
named Joseph, a descendant of David.
The virgin's name was Mary. The angel
went to her and said, "Greetings, you
who are highly favored! The Lord is with
you." Mary was greatly troubled at his
words and wondered what kind of
greeting this might be. But the angel
said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you
have found favor with God. You will be
with child and give birth to a son, and
you are to give him the name Jesus.
(Luke 1:26-31, NIV)
He Came

through the ages

A virgin will conceive,
they said

to earth
He shall know not evil

He told how
Jesus Christ would be
rejected by His own

Sons of God are they

While they were there, the time
came for the baby to be born,
and she gave birth to her
firstborn, a son. She wrapped
him in cloths and placed him in
a manger, because there was
no room for them in the inn.
(Luke 2:6-7, NIV)
2. Angels Adore Him –
God often used angels as His
messengers to bring news to
His people. The angels
declared the good news of
Christ’s birth.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and
the glory of the Lord shone around them, and
they were terrified. But the angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of
great joy that will be for all the people. Today
in the town of David a Savior has been born
to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a
sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in
cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a
great company of the heavenly host
appeared with the angel, praising God and
saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
(Luke 2:9-14, NIV)

3. Shepherds Adore Him –
The Shepherds responded
to the good news by
worshipping and telling
others.
When the angels had left them and gone
into heaven, the shepherds said to one
another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see
this thing that has happened, which the
Lord has told us about."
So they hurried off and found Mary and
Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in
the manger. When they had seen him,
they spread the word concerning what
had been told them about this child,
(Luke 2:15-17, NIV)

4. Wise Men Adore Him –
The Wisemen gave what they
had in worship to God
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in
Judea, during the time of King Herod,
Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
and asked, "Where is the one who has
been born king of the Jews? We saw his
star in the east and have come to
worship him.”…
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and
found out from them the exact time the
star had appeared. He sent them to
Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a
careful search for the child. As soon as
you find him, report to me, so that I too
may go and worship him."
After they had heard the king, they went
on their way, and the star they had seen
in the east went ahead of them until it
stopped over the place where the child
was. When they saw the star, they were
overjoyed. On coming to the house, they
saw the child with his mother Mary, and
they bowed down and worshiped him.
Then they opened their treasures and
presented him with gifts of gold and of
What Child Is This?
What child is this who laid to rest,
On Mary's lap is sleeping
Whom angels greet
with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping
This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard
and angels sing
Haste, haste to bring Him laud
The Babe, the Son of Mary
So bring Him incense,
gold and myrrh;
Come peasant, king to own Him.
The King of Kings
salvation brings
Let loving hearts enthrone Him
This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard
and angels sing
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary
Christmas Offering
Over the skies of Bethlehem
appeared a star
While angels sang
to lowly shepherds
Three wisemen seeking truth
traveled from afar hoping to find
the child from heaven
And falling on their knees,
They bowed before
the humble Prince of Peace
I bring an offering
of worship to my King
No one on earth deserves
the praises that I sing
Jesus may you receive
the honor that You’re due
O Lord, I bring an offering to You
The sun cannot compare
to the glory of Your love
There is no shadow
in Your presence
No mortal man would dare
to stand before Your throne
Before the Holy One of heaven
It’s only by Your blood
and it’s only through Your mercy
Lord, I come
I bring an offering
of worship to my King
No one on earth deserves
the praises that I sing
Jesus may you receive
the honor that You’re due
O Lord, I bring an offering to You
5. Simeon and Anna
Adore Him –
They waited for God’s timing
and recognized God’s
blessing. Then, they shared
the Good news with those
around them.
Now there was a man in Jerusalem
called Simeon, who was righteous and
devout. He was waiting for the
consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit
was upon him. It had been revealed to
him by the Holy Spirit that he would not
die before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
Moved by the Spirit, he went into the
temple courts. When the parents
brought in the child Jesus to do for him
what the custom of the Law required,
Simeon took him in his arms and praised
God, saying, "Sovereign Lord, as you
have promised, you now dismiss your
servant in peace. For my eyes have
seen your salvation, which you have
prepared in the sight of all people, a
light for revelation to the Gentiles and
for glory to your people Israel."
The child's father and mother marveled
at what was said about him. Then
Simeon blessed them and said to Mary,
his mother: "This child is destined to
cause the falling and rising of many in
Israel, and to be a sign that will be
spoken against, so that the thoughts of
many hearts will be revealed. And a
sword will pierce your own soul too."
There was also a prophetess, Anna, the
daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of
Asher. She was very old; she had lived
with her husband seven years after her
marriage, and then was a widow until
she was eighty-four. She never left the
temple but worshiped night and day,
fasting and praying. Coming up to them
at that very moment, she gave thanks to
God and spoke about the child to all who
were looking forward to the redemption
of Jerusalem. (Luke 2:25-38, NIV)
Simeon’s Lullaby
O my Lord sleeping
in your mother’s arms
This little One, this little One
Your mother is keeping
you covered and warm
This little One, this little One
Come let me hold Him
O bless You, Lord
I will depart in peace
My eyes have finally
seen Thy salvation
The glory of Israel
The Light of the nations
Mary will be weeping
A sword pierce her soul
For this little One
God’s only Son
The darkness will be fleeting
with a rising light
In this little One,
the kingdom has come
Come let me hold Him
O bless You, Lord
I will depart in peace
My eyes have finally
seen Thy salvation
The glory of Israel
The Light of the nations
In this little One,
salvation has come
In this little One
6. We Adore Him –
We respond to God in worship
through receiving Jesus,
obeying the Word of God,
bowing before Him, giving all
we have, and telling others
the Good News.
In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was
God. He was with God in the beginning.
The light shines in the darkness, but the
darkness has not understood it.
Yet to all who received him, to those who
believed in his name, he gave the right
to become children of God—
The Word became flesh and made his
dwelling among us. We have seen his
glory, the glory of the One and Only,
who came from the Father, full of grace
and truth. (John 1: 1, 5, 12, 14, NIV)
The people living in darkness have seen
a great light; on those living in the land
of the shadow of death a light has
dawned.“ (Matthew 4:16, NIV)
"You are the light of the world. A city on
a hill cannot be hidden.
(Matthew 5:14, NIV)
