Commercial Lebo Modutoane 2015/07/16 3 Evacuation Route: Presentation By: Musiiwa Luvhengo 2015/07/16 4 Background of the Project/Technical: Presentation by: Pat Skosana 2015/07/16 5 Background of the Project The contract includes the provision of a diesel and petrol diesel fuel depot for the operation of the fleet vehicles and standby generators at the Kusile Power Station Project. The diesel and petrol diesel fuel depot services form part of the Kusile Power Station Project situated near Ogies, Emalahleni. The Contractor shall provide all labour, supervision, administration and management, equipment, tools, supplies and materials to perform the works as specified herein. The contract period is 01 April 2013 until 31 March 2018 2015/07/16 6 Scope of Work The detail description of the works consists of: The Contractor shall be required to provide petrol, diesel and minor repair services depot at the Kusile Power Station Project. The service provider will be available 24/7. Minimum employer’s participation is 2000 litres of petrol per month, and 10 000 litres of diesel per month. Potential capacity (1500 x private vehicles excluding contractors bulk requirements) The Contractor shall be required to collect and discharge diesel and petrol fuel into the specific holding tanks. The Contractor shall supply the holding tanks and equipment. The Contractor is required to provide for all adaptors/couplings required to facilitate the discharge of diesel and petrol from its tankers and holding tanks. 2015/07/16 7 Scope of Work Continued . . . • The Contractor shall have separate holding tanks for storage of diesel and petrol fuel. • The Contractor is required to make provision for maintenance and routine cleaning of the holding tanks. The maintenance and repair shall not interfere with the Contractor’s operations. • The Contractor is required to take random samples of fuel as and when required. • The Contractor shall monitor and refuel all the employer’s standby generators. • The Contractor shall be able to do minor vehicle repairs such as tyre repair and replacement, windscreen repair and replacement, battery charging and replacement. • The Contractor shall provide for onsite card transaction facilities. 2015/07/16 8 Technical Tender Deliverables The Contractor shall submit the following for evaluation purposes: • A detailed method statement on how you plan to execute the works • Management experience (attach organogram/organizational structure.
