The Ray Box: Part One
Law of Reflection
The law of reflection for light states that when
light is incident on a specular reflecting surface
the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of
reflection.
A specular reflector is a mirror-like reflector.

No matter what the shape of the mirror is,
if it is a specular reflector, the incident
beam angle and the reflected beam angle
will be equal to each other.
Specular reflection occurs all around us
from the mirrors for shaving or make-up
applications, to road reflectors, to
reflections from smooth surfaces such as
water and glass.
Obviously there are many, many more.
