Why did synod compose a new Hymnal?
LCMS has been a church of 2 or more hymnals for over 25 years.
LSB combines the best of LCMS worship resources represented in TLH, LW, HS98.
Why did synod compose a new Hymnal?
It includes a wealth of new hymns written by recent Lutheran composers.
New synod resources are planned to be written with references to LSB readings, hymn numbers, page numbers, etc. rather than the multiple hymnal references found in today’s publications.
