- New Solidworks part (*.SLDPRT).
- Main Sketch Command Manager tools.
- Select a sketch plane.
- Change the Units from mm (MMGS) to inches (IPS).

Sketch Command Manager Tools
Tip: Steps to Accessing Additional Sketch Tools
1.) Move the cursor over the small arrow. The arrow that is to the right of the tool icon, in this
case the Exit Sketch tool.
2.) Select the arrow. This will bring up a small window that will display the additional related
sketch tools.
3.) Move the cursor over the desired new tool and select it. This will activate the optional tool.

Sketch
This tool is used to create a new sketch or edit an existing sketch. The optional tool
is Exit Sketch shown below.

Sketch
This tool is one method that is used to exit and save the current sketch. Applying
this tool will exit the Sketch Environment back to the Part Environment.
Smart
Dimension
Smart Dimensions also referred to as Dimensional Constraints (numerical values
such as length, distance and angle, radius and diameter). The optional tools (not
shown) are Horizontal, Vertical and Ordinate dimensions.
This tool is used to create all lines (single and/or multiple lines). The optional tool
is Center Line and shown below.
