What wonderful work the foundation
does! What can I do to support this?


Obviously, $2 per member is not enough to
ensure all these worthy projects continue.
The CKDF is open to support in many ways.
Some clubs give $5 or more per member as
their annual contribution.
Some clubs donate items to The Caring
Corner at District events

The Caring corner accepts
handmade crafts that reflect
the values of caring and
service.

Other new items such as
toys, collectibles, gift
baskets, and hobby items
are welcomed.

Please contact Brian (Div
10) or Carolyn (Div 20) for
more information on how
and when to donate!
And then there’s the
Ducky Derby!


Everyone can buy tickets for the Ducky Derby held
annually at the District Convention! You can sell
them to family, friends and business colleagues –
winners to do not need to be Kiwanian’s.
Clubs are invited to donate prizes to the Derby!
Prizes include gift certificates to local businesses –
chains are preferred where possible – donations of
services.
You can honor club members with..

A District Foundation Life Membership
Available to any Kiwanian with a $100 contribution. A Life Membership
can be sponsored by a Kiwanian, a Kiwanis Club, a spouse or friend of a
Kiwanian. The Kiwanian can be an individual, past officer or outstanding
member of the Club, Division, or District.
The Kiwanian receives a certificate and Life Member disc. Their name is
listed on the Foundation's Life Membership Plaque and this web site.
Funds derived from Life Memberships are invested. Only the interest
earned is used for Foundation programs. Therefore, your one-time
contribution continues to support the Foundation activities year after
year.Use the Contribution Form (HTML or Word document) and send to the
address on the form.
Or a Tablet of Honor…..

Honor an individual by contributing $1000.

spouse or friend of the Kiwanian. The
recipient receives a certificate and Tablet of
Honor Plaque. The name of the Kiwanian

Honor Board and this web site.
Or Join the Founder’s Society!


The Founder's Society is an endowment fund within the
Capital District Kiwanis Foundation (CDKF) created to
benefit the Sponsored Leadership Programs. A tax-deductible
contribution of $1,000 can be made to the CDFK designated
for the Founder's Society. This can be done by check; gift of
appreciated stocks or other financial investments assets, or a
bequest in a Will, Trust or Estate Pan.
A contributor receives the satisfaction that they are
maintaining a legacy of Kiwanis support for the Capital
District Kiwanis K-Kids, Builders, Key Club and CKI; also a
Founder's Society Neck Medallion Ribbon, Engraved
Shadow Box Display Case, and a lapel Founder's Society pin.
You can donate as a memorial…


In recognition of a Kiwanian who inspired
you!
Flowers last a few days – but a memorial
donation to the CKDF will help with a
lifetime’s worth of service!
Or as a way to honor this year’s club
leaders!


A certificate or plaque is nice…
But think what a difference a contribution to
the foundation will make when the plaque is
shut away in a drawer somewhere!
