The Load

• Unico has sizes from One to Five Tons of
cooling
• Unico can provide up to 20 KW of electric
heat
• Unico can provide up to 150,000 btu
output of hot water heat
Sizing the Job
• Use the ACCA Manual “J” or ASHRAE
equivalent
• A Load calculation is the same for Unico
as for all other HVAC systems
• Unico provides a Bulletin 40-10 which
contains a very simple sizing guide based
on older building construction

common industry motor
• The control for the motor is specific for the
designs of the Unico system.
• Sets a constant CFM by adjusting the
RPM to conform with the Unico System
