Still actively fighting regularly on the competition circuits, Peter has vast experience in many forms of martial arts disciplines. B.L.K. Freestyle has been particularly successful over the last number of years and has produced five British Champions, three of which became World Champion in their respective weight division. Physical: If practiced regularly kickboxing will provide a cardiovascular workout, help to develop muscle tone, strength, flexibility, balance and concentration. It is considered to be an effective total body workout and as such, will help to maintain weight, body fat controls and bone density. The skills taught can be used in self defense. Lifestyle: Kickboxing can be practiced alone or with others. It is accessible to people of all ages and ranges of fitness levels. Equipment in the initial stages is minimal and inexpensive. What is Freestyle Kickboxing? A dynamic and effective martial art that requires a high level of both mental and physical fitness. No shoes are allowed on the matted area, pupils must be bare foot or wear grip socks. For safety, nails are to be kept cut short. Membership fee: £49.99 (this includes supply of a club uniform) Please bring a small sweat towel with you. No food or drinks allowed in the dojo, including chewing gum. No mobile phones or hats/hoods during classes. License fee: •£20 per year for adults Hire of facilities: •£15 per year under 16’s Premises and equipment are available for private hire.
