In our country every year comes christmas time:
Christmas songs
Christmas decoration
Christmas tree
Christmas food
Christmas traditions
Christmas spirit
Christmas presents
Christmas time (Advent) comes
with first burning candle- first
Sunday in December. Every
Sunday we light candle.
Everybody wants to decorate
haus and garden.
I think thats the first thing that you
imagine if someone says Christmas.
Someone decorate just with fruit or natural
materials, someone with glass balls and
small bulbs.
Our Christmas food
is potato salad
with
fried carp or fried
steak.

TYPICAL FOOD:
Vánočka
(Christmas bread)
Christmas cookies
Throwing slipper
• Girls throw her slipper in front of door
• + slipper tends to door-> girl will marry in next year
• - Slipper doesn´t tend to door-> nothing will change
Cutting apples
• + star (like at this picture) it means health and luck
• - cross –something bad will happens
Boats of nuts
• Everyone of one family lets go boats and if they will
float together, family will be together too.
You probably dont know who brings present in Czech
Republic.. Its small Jesus (we called him Ježíšek).
