Agro-energetic Systems for Synergistic Effect in Production and Energy Use in Agricultural Farms
The utilitarian objectives
The objective is to produce electric energy, heat,
liquid and gas fuels in the way of assuring the
reduction of CO2 emission and to generate additional
value in economic and society spheres and allowing
the synergistic effect to appear in the agricultural
farms.

Conditions for achieving goals
The energy sources must be:
• Selected according to possibilities and needs of the agricultural
farms.
• Meet local government regulation and society needs.
• Pro-ecologic with possible technical solution and economic
efficiency.
• Provide the maximum energy efficiency and organizing system which
will use the most efficiency local agricultural raw products, after
production wastes, side products and wastes from agro-food
industry.
• Selection of biomass substrates and co-substrates must refer to
the limits and requirements of the low regulations regarding the
waste control.

Systems of receiving, storing and using energy tested so far
in the Institute of Technology and Life Sciences
Heat generated in farm buildings both inside the production buildings
for animals as well as on the roof surface where the natural conditions
exist for installation of liquid or air collector in which the solar energy is
transformed.

Testing RAMseS vehicle for farmers
The agricultural vehicle driven by the electric motor with the solar
system for charging the car batteries has been designed and
investigated together with 11 European partners and from Arabic
countries in European Project Renewable Energy Agricultural

A general outline of agro-energetic system
and the work program
The research work has been carried out on separate bio-energetic
systems and it is a base for designing the utilizable installation. The
results of these works should be used for creating a complex self
complementary systems each time adopted to specific conditions of a
given farm and its specific needs and demands including economic
calculation. Only under these conditions it will be possible to prove
both synergistic as well as scale effects related to relatively small with
respect to area a small farm. This installation can be complex as shown
on the figure or just some of the items can be included in the
installation. In the ITP research work it has been planned to expand the
installation shown on previous slide by adding a tractor driven by the
crude oil as well as by esters. It is planned to build the installation for
producing oil and esters as well as small wind turbine of the power of
3-6kW in the ITP experimental farm.
